Hey Wonderful Creator! Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Nanna and I'm from Copenhagen, the capitol of tiny Denmark. I'm 24 years old and soon I'm going to study English. I've not always been drawing, actually it came to me relatively late in life, and I still feel like I'm learning all the time. I love movies, space, and mountains, and KitKats.

Why did you want to take part in The Wonderful Post Project?

I've noticed how I sometimes manage to make something that resonates with a lot of people and if I can use that for something good like this, I will. It's such a small thing for me to make some art compared to the impact it might have. If it makes one person feel seen, then I'm happy.

Tell us about your post recipient.
I made some art for Luciano in Argentina. He once saved a white cat, that he sadly doesn't get to see much, he loves sci-fi, computer games, and cats. He has battled depression and done a lot of work to get better!

What did you create and send for your Wonderful Post?

I decided to draw some cats sitting on a moon for Luciano, I also made him a little card that I hope will make him feel less alone with everything that's going on with him, and then I made a drawing of his white cat. I also put some stickers in the envelope!

What reaction do you hope/ imagine your recipient will have to their Wonderful Post?
I hope he'll smile. I hope he will feel the love from the friend who nominated him. Smiling and lots of love - that's enough for me!

Describe the experience of taking part in The Wonderful Post Project.

It's been super nice to be able to use my skills this way! I've felt a bit lost when it comes to creating. So many things are about money nowadays but this isn't! It's a good reminder about why exactly I love to create. It's also been very easy to sign up for it and it's truly a wonderful project.

Any advice for other Wonderful Post creators?

Work with what you've got! You don't have to be Picasso to participate. And don't be afraid of copying! If you've seen this funny, heartfelt, amazing, beautiful piece from someone else, it's okay to copy it for this project - just add a little note with the name of the original artist. I always encourage people to copy. It's how you get better and eventually you'll find YOUR style. Learn the rules to break them. Finally, think outside the box - be creative, try different mediums, mix things. There are no rules with art. Have fun!
